THE LAND
The land is an un-glaciated haven. Take the time to smell the roses in our lush gardens. Guests enjoy the mix of 85 acres of managed woodlands and 35 acres of fields, gardens and green. Inhale the fresh air of Spring blooms, the Summer pines, Fall foliage and a Winter wonderland.
You are likely to see deer, wild turkeys and numerous bird varieties amid the red and white pines, 100-yr old oaks, hickory, black walnut and cherry trees.
THE TRAILS
Miles of mowed, private trails give you access to hiking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing as you meander through our 120 scenic acres of hills, woodlands, rock formations and valley views. Snowshoes are available to enjoy a winter wonderland. You'll see deer, fox, sandhill cranes, wild turkeys and hawks throughout the property. Occasionally, you may spot an eagle perched in a tree, hunting our fields or just soaring about.
Cameo Rose is home to a wide variety of birds--some nesting in the forests or tall grasses and many frequenting the feeders. Each trail offers its own appeal and separate views. Miles of private cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking trails wind through the woods, over hills, down valleys, past berry patches and rock formations. From the top of our eastern hill you may catch a view of Blue Mounds about 20 miles Northwest. Cameo Rose - so close to heaven… so far from your hectic pace... the perfect Wisconsin getaway.
